How long does a bathroom take?
A straightforward replacement in the same layout is usually a matter of days, while a full renovation with layout changes, tanking and full tiling takes longer. Waiting on materials is the most common cause of delay, which is why we like everything on site before we start. You will get a realistic timescale with your quote.
Will we be without a bathroom the whole time?
For part of it, yes — there is no way around the days when the room is stripped out. If it is the only bathroom in the house we will plan the order of works to keep that stretch as short as we can, and tell you honestly at the quote stage how many days to expect.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrics?
We manage the job and bring in the right trades for each stage. Electrical work in a bathroom is notifiable under the building regulations and is carried out by a qualified electrician, so that side is done properly and signed off rather than bodged in.
Can any bathroom be turned into a wet room?
Not always. A wet room needs the floor to take a fall to the drain and the structure to allow the drainage to sit below floor level, which is easier on some floors than others. We will look at what you have got and tell you straight whether it is practical or whether a level-access tray is the better answer.
Do we buy the suite and tiles or do you?
Either way works. Most customers pick their own suite and tiles so they get exactly what they want, and we will advise on quantities and what is practical for the room. If you would rather we sourced everything, that can be quoted too.
